The annual costs for the password manager will rise by $12 starting March 27th.
1Password is set to increase its prices on March 27th, 2026. According to an email sent to users, the password manager will raise the yearly individual plan price from $35.88 to $47.88, while the family plan will increase from $59.88 to $71.88.
“While 1Password has grown substantially in value and capability, our pricing has remained largely unchanged for many years,” the email from 1Password explains. The company mentions that the price hike will support continued investment in innovation and security enhancements. It highlights the addition of new features such as saving logins and payment details, phishing protection, and faster device setup.
As 1Password notes, the increase will apply during your next plan renewal if it’s after March 27th. The Verge contacted 1Password for further clarification on whether these changes will impact monthly plans but has yet to receive a response.
