AT&T Presents New Moto G Stylus (2025) for Less Than the Price of a Latte

If you are an AT&T subscriber looking for a great Motorola offer, this is the one for you. At the moment, AT&T is providing the Moto G Stylus for only $2.99 per month when you sign up for an eligible unlimited plan, plus up to $800 per line to cover early termination fees for those contemplating a switch.

Although it’s not the 5G version of the Moto G Stylus, it boasts some impressive features. With its vibrant 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, integrated stylus, and vegan-leather back, the Moto G Stylus is certainly a viable option when compared to other flagship devices, especially if you are already interested in a stylus-equipped phone.

For a short time, this AT&T promotion offers a contract of just $2.99 monthly for the 2025 Moto G Stylus when customers enroll in a qualifying unlimited plan. The carrier claims that installment plans like this generally cost customers around $8.20 monthly and are for a 36-month duration.

✅ Recommended if: you need an economical phone with month-to-month payment options; you desire a device that includes a stylus; you were already thinking about an AT&T unlimited plan.

❌ Skip this deal if: you require a phone with 5G capability; a stylus is not a priority for you; you have no interest in switching to AT&T.

In our assessment of the 2025 Moto G Stylus earlier this month, we called it the “budget phone you shouldn’t overlook.” We particularly appreciate the stylus inclusion at a mid-range price, the 120Hz AMOLED display that measures 6.7 inches, and the enduring, rapid-charging battery. Users can easily achieve over a day or more of battery life, with 68W charging speeds that are remarkable for a phone in this price category.

The Moto G Stylus is also rated with IP68 ingress protection, runs Android 15 with two years of OS updates, features a high-resolution selfie camera, and offers several handy AI functionalities. It has a satisfying feel in hand, with its robust build and sumptuous vegan-leather backing, to the extent that it almost makes you forget it usually retails for $400.

The Moto G Stylus has already claimed a position among the top Motorola smartphones released this year, but with this deal from AT&T, it’s become an incredible bargain.

Groundbreaking iPhone AI Assistant Created, Bridging Apple’s Shortfall

Apple Intelligence was unveiled nearly a year ago. Although it remains in beta and the majority of its features have only been accessible for approximately six months, it is far from reaching its full potential. With OpenAI, Google, and numerous other rivals concentrating on AI agents, speculation indicates that it will take Apple at least a couple more years to launch the genuine iPhone AI agent we’ve been anticipating.

This makes the development of a free, open-source initiative on GitHub particularly intriguing. Developer Rounak Jan reported that he developed this iPhone AI agent in 2024 during OpenAI’s hackathon.

Now that the project is available, Jan integrated GPT-4.1 capabilities into this iPhone AI agent, allowing it to utilize the iPhone similarly to how any of us would. Initially highlighted by 9to5Mac, some applications of this technology include:

– Capture a new selfie and send it to Person X along with a haiku about the weekend
– Download the app A from the App Store
– Send a message to Person X: My flight is DL 1715, and order an Uber X to SFO
– Access Control Center and turn on the flashlight

These demonstrations were also presented in the YouTube video below, and this is essentially how one would anticipate an iPhone AI agent to function.

While there are rumors that Apple may provide developers with some of its models for use in their applications, this level of control should not be expected just yet. Jan can only utilize these features because this is an Xcode project, meaning he can test it on his iPhone but cannot offer it as a standalone app, for instance.

The iPhone AI agent project actually delivers more than I personally expect from Siri through on-screen awareness. In Jan’s instance, GPT-4.1 is exceptionally responsive, and the Voice Mode operates seamlessly.

Regrettably, we will still need to wait at least a few more years for Apple to grant this level of control. One can hope that the company might provide OpenAI with more access to the iPhone. Currently, ChatGPT can substitute for Siri by employing Apple Intelligence features, and there are whispers that Google Gemini is next. However, this degree of control has yet to materialize.

That being said, if you are a developer, you can experiment with Jan’s project by downloading it from GitHub.

Apple Contesting European Union’s Latest Digital Markets Act Rules

Apple Contesting EU’s New DMA Regulations

A few months ago, the European Commission unveiled new DMA regulations that Apple must adhere to throughout the iOS 26 phase. Following the expansion of the iPhone ecosystem to include third-party marketplaces, third-party payments, and other modifications, the EU is now requesting that Apple enhance interoperability between its software and third-party devices.

Here are some of the adjustments Apple will need to implement in iOS 26:

– Non-Apple smartwatches should be capable of receiving push notifications, including images, and enabling users to respond to them. This issue was raised by the creator of Pebble during the announcement of his two new watches.
– The connection procedure for non-Apple devices, such as headphones and smartwatches, needs to be more user-friendly.
– Virtual reality headsets ought to enjoy improved and quicker data connections with iPhones.
– Integration of alternative solutions to AirDrop and AirPlay services is required.

Apple has now contested the European Commission’s new demands regarding the DMA, appealing the decision at the end of last month.

“At Apple, we create our technology to operate harmoniously together, ensuring it provides the unique experience that our users cherish and anticipate from our products. The EU’s interoperability standards jeopardize that foundation, while instituting a process that is unreasonable, expensive, and hinders innovation,” a spokesperson for the company stated to the Wall Street Journal. Apple also deemed the rules “seriously flawed,” contending that the company might need to divulge sensitive information to competitors, which could present “security risks to European customers.”

The spokesperson continued: “Companies have already sought access to our users’ most private data—from the contents of their notifications to a comprehensive history of every saved WiFi network on their device—granting them the capacity to access personal information that even Apple doesn’t view. We are appealing these rulings on their behalf, and to uphold the top-tier experience our European customers expect.”

While the European Commission has yet to respond, it seems improbable that Apple will be able to evade these new regulations or expand upon existing legislation.

BGR will keep monitoring the latest DMA requirements that could be implemented during the iOS 26 phase.
