Apple TV+ Unveils Initial Trailer for Forthcoming Nature Docuseries

Apple is broadening its nature content lineup with “The Wild Ones,” a novel six-part series headed by ex-Royal Marines Commando Aldo Kane. Set to debut on July 11th, the program tracks a trio of wildlife specialists as they roam across six nations, capturing unique footage of threatened species.

Alongside Kane, wildlife tech expert Declan Burley and ecological filmmaker Vianet Djenguet delve into extreme conservation initiatives, journeying from the Mongolian deserts to the tropical forests of Gabon. “The Wild Ones” employs over 350 specially designed remote cameras, thermal drones, AI-driven imaging devices, and wearable underwater tags to document elusive creatures like the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, and North Atlantic right whale.

The trailer reveals highlights, including the inaugural footage of a Malayan tiger in Malaysia’s Royal Tiger Reserve, thermal night visuals of a Gobi bear, and a direct encounter with a silverback gorilla. The series aims to emphasize the dangers confronting endangered species and their habitats while bolstering scientific and local conservation efforts.

“The Wild Ones” adds to Apple TV+’s expanding collection of nature programming, which features “Earth At Night In Color” and “Earthsounds,” both created by Offspring Films. Apple underscores that the series illuminates the interconnectedness of endangered species and their environments, raising awareness for conservation initiatives.

The series will launch globally on Friday, July 11, and Apple TV+ is available at $9.99 per month, offering a variety of popular shows and films.
