The Google Pixel series continues to improve over time through Pixel Drop updates, which introduce new features to the Pixel lineup. With the June 2025 update, Google has launched a new widget for the Contacts app known as Pixel VIPs. This widget enables you to view all critical information regarding your favorite contacts, such as locations, birthdays, notes, and more, all with a single tap. Pixel VIPs is only available for Pixel smartphones, starting from the Pixel 6 and newer.
We successfully tested this on a Pixel 6a with Android 16. If your Pixel is compatible, ensure you update it and explore the new Pixel VIPs widget.
Steps to set up and add Pixel VIPs
1. Check that your Pixel device is running the latest software version by navigating to Settings, System, and scrolling to Software updates.
