Google is currently in the process of introducing a Gemini app that makes the AI more “engaging” for users and their subsequent inquiries.
In a Keyword post, the company mentions that the latest update for the Gemini app introduces a new feature called “personal context” that users can enable or disable as needed. Google explains that this feature will “offer you a tailored experience as it learns from your past discussions.” This essentially acts as a memory feature that allows Gemini to recall certain details about you, such as your preferences, interests, and priorities in various aspects of your life.
Google provides examples, stating that users who have previously asked Gemini to summarize popular non-fiction books on BookTok are likely to get recommendations for books aligned with those previously summarized genres.
