As per a report from the South Korean outlet SEDaily, Samsung intends to launch its smart glasses within a year. The report references an industry source underscoring Samsung’s necessity to cultivate its own brand, notwithstanding its hardware alliance with Google. The anticipated design of these glasses is thought to be cost-efficient, targeting the market without requiring displays.
Samsung’s independent smart glasses are expected to be introduced by the conclusion of 2026, with the company’s AI playing a crucial role in their operation. This advancement positions Samsung to rival existing offerings such as the Ray-Ban series.
Simultaneously, Samsung is maintaining its partnership with Google under Project HAEAN, which focuses on the development of mixed reality glasses.
