– Ricky Martin

The inaugural season of the show launched in spring 2024 and, despite mixed reviews from critics, became somewhat of a sleeper success for Apple. The zany antics of its characters and the engaging cast made it an enjoyable viewing experience.
Here’s Apple’s official synopsis for the series, along with the season 1 trailer:
“Palm Royale” tells a genuine underdog tale, centering on Maxine Dellacorte (Wiig) as she strives to navigate the ruthless realm of Palm Beach elite society. As Maxine tries to bridge the unyielding gap between the privileged and the less fortunate, “Palm Royale” poses a question that continues to perplex us: “How much of yourself are you prepared to sacrifice to obtain what another possesses?” “Palm Royale” stands as a tribute to every outlier striving for their opportunity to truly fit in.
In the second season, Maxine finds herself ostracized after a scandalous public incident. She will need to rely on her abundant resourcefulness and shrewdness to demonstrate once and for all that she not only belongs but may even possess the ability to dominate this town. During her journey, she will uncover hidden realities and finally grasp what this town is fundamentally founded on … secrets, deception, and the occasional crime.

Apple TV+ is priced at $9.99 per month and includes popular TV shows and films like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show, Silo, and Shrinking.
