Leaker Majin Bu has reported that Apple intends to substitute its unsuccessful FineWoven cases with a fresh product named TechWoven, characterized as a synthetic fabric that provides a more technical look instead of a luxury touch. Recently, Bu released images that allegedly display the color choices for these new cases.

### Five Colors, Two Dings

The images showcase a selection of five colors: orange, purple, green, blue, and gray, which correspond with several hues expected for the forthcoming iPhone 17. However, one of the blue cases showed a noticeable wear mark on the lower right side, echoing the problems that afflicted the FineWoven accessories. While this does not assure that TechWoven will face the same issues, the apparent ding raises doubts about its durability.

### Clickier Buttons, Two Lanyard Holes

Further images shared by Bu emphasize the texture of the TechWoven cases, with a close-up of a black case also displaying a slight ding near its bottom corner. Importantly, the images do not show the underside of the cases, but Bu states that they will feature two lanyard openings, one on each side. The side buttons are said to be metallic with enhanced tactile feedback, improving user interaction.

Additionally, the TechWoven cases are anticipated to be compatible with MagSafe and will have an opening for easy access to the Camera Control button. Bu asserts that the new texture is engineered to resist glossing and sustain a consistent appearance over time, even with frequent use. The actual test of durability will be seen with real-world application once the cases launch.

As excitement grows for the iPhone 17 and its accessories, the question lingers: Will these new TechWoven cases demonstrate greater durability than their FineWoven predecessors? Only time will reveal the answer.
