Apple’s Autumn Product Range Might Be Missing an Essential Attribute This Year

Apple is set for a major launch season, with fresh hardware anticipated across almost all product categories. Yet, a notable omission from the forthcoming fall announcements seems to be the Mac lineup.

### The Mac May Be the Sole Apple Product Line Lacking New Hardware This Fall

As September draws near, Apple is readying itself for a hectic schedule of hardware presentations. The tech behemoth is expected to host an iPhone event in early September, likely on September 9, where it will introduce the iPhone 17 series, new Apple Watch variants, AirPods Pro 3, and possibly more. In total, reports indicate that around 13 new items might be unveiled this fall.

Nonetheless, the striking lack of any new Mac hardware is raising questions. While an M5 MacBook Pro is reportedly being developed, recent reports suggest that its release has been postponed until early 2026. Moreover, a new Mac Pro is also overdue, with conjecture surrounding an M4 Ultra chip for the machine. However, Bloomberg’s latest fall launch overview mentioned no Mac products.

This scenario is atypical for Apple, which generally presents a wide range of product launches. While new iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods, and iPads are standard, the simultaneous introduction of an Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini, AirTag, and Vision Pro highlights the absence of Mac hardware even more sharply.

Fortunately for Mac fans, the wait for new hardware may not be overly long. Reports indicate that early 2026 will bring the release of both the M5 MacBook Pro and an M5 MacBook Air.

As Apple readies for this fall’s product unveilings, many are left pondering which new offerings will capture their interest.
