Hands-On Assessment: Trendy Midrange Android Smartphones – Motorola Edge 60 Neo, Moto G06, and G06 Power

Motorola has recently introduced three new midrange smartphones during the Lenovo Innovation World 2025 event in Berlin, in conjunction with the IFA tech exhibition. The latest models consist of the Motorola Edge 60 Neo, Moto G06, and Moto G06 Power. While these smartphones are expected to hit the European and other international markets, it remains unclear whether they will be launched in the U.S. Historically, similar releases have not reached North America under the same branding.

The Motorola Edge 60 Neo builds on its predecessor, the Edge 50 Neo, incorporating a new MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset that facilitates AI advancements and camera enhancements. It maintains the same 6.4-inch pOLED screen with HDR10+ capability and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Additionally, the Edge 60 Neo offers enhanced durability with IP69 water and dust resistance along with Gorilla Glass 7i. It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, although there are no camera improvements from the earlier version.

The Moto G06 and Moto G06 Power, successors to the Moto G05 series, showcase the largest displays ever found on a Moto G phone at 6.88 inches, with a peak brightness of 600 nits and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. The Moto G06 Power is notable for its substantial 7,000mAh battery, despite a slower charging rate of 18W.

More specifications and information regarding the availability of these models have yet to be disclosed.
