**A Fix is Being Deployed, and Reactions are Already Mixed**
Google has started to release an update for Android Auto designed to tackle issues reported by Pixel 10 users. The update, version 15.0, aims to resolve the grey screen dilemma that occurs when connecting a Pixel 10 to Android Auto. However, it does not fix other connectivity or freezing problems that have been mentioned.
Users who pre-ordered the Pixel 10 received their devices in late August, but their experience was tainted by Android Auto issues. Even with Google’s attempts, some users state that the update has not fixed the grey screen problem. Furthermore, the update has brought about another issue where users are incessantly asked to turn on notifications, despite them already being active.
The update seems not to address the significant connectivity problems faced by some users. Reports suggest that Android Auto continues to be unresponsive, with ongoing refreshes and freezing, affecting only the Pixel 10 series, and not the Pixel 9.
Additionally, Google has issued a September security patch for Pixel devices, including the newest series, but it doesn’t specifically target Android Auto problems. Users are encouraged to update or install the patch at their own discretion, as the solution remains unclear.
