During the same week as the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit, MediaTek has revealed the introduction of its upcoming flagship chipset, presumably the Dimensity 9500, on September 22, 2025. This latest chipset is anticipated to leverage TSMC’s 3nm technology with a 1+3+4 CPU configuration, featuring cores that can reach speeds of up to 4.21GHz. Additionally, MediaTek is developing a 2nm N2P-based chip, expected to be the Dimensity 9600, which is slated for launch in late 2026. On the other hand, Qualcomm has disclosed its forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, set to be released on September 23, 2025. The Dimensity 9500 is projected to enhance GPU and NPU capabilities, with the Vivo X300 series likely to incorporate it shortly after its introduction. MediaTek’s 2nm chipset is set to offer improved performance and efficiency, promising up to 18% greater performance and a 36% decrease in power consumption compared to existing 3nm chipsets.
