More Authentic Graphics, Support for 5x the Number of Users, 4x Quicker Loading, and Innovative AI Creation Features Have Arrived

Meta AI has achieved a significant landmark, improving the creation tools for the upcoming metaverse driven by Meta Quest headsets. The newly introduced Meta Horizon Studio empowers users to build virtual environments using AI-driven prompts. For example, users can direct Meta AI to generate a “stylized desert landscape” and then incorporate features like mountains, vegetation, and a “desert metropolis.”

Meta intends to integrate AI as a fundamental aspect of the virtual reality experience, implying that producing 3D content may soon be as effortless as posing a question. The Horizon Worlds ecosystem on Meta Quest headsets has also undergone major enhancements. The “immersive home” setting now links directly to Horizon Worlds through Horizon Central, allowing users to dive into popular worlds, engage with others, pin applications, and view 3D content on Instagram.

The new Meta Horizon Engine, crafted from the ground up, elevates graphics, accelerates loading times by 4x, and accommodates 5x more users in a single world. This transformation enhances the appeal of social environments. Horizon Central enabled live streaming of Meta Connect 2025, showcasing Meta’s vision for real-time VR events. Meta maintains a roster of Horizon Worlds activities, including concerts and comedy performances.

Photorealistic environments, fueled by the Hyperscape engine, are set to launch shortly, enabling users to scan their spaces and create photorealistic realms. Meta is also introducing Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN on the Horizon TV app, establishing it as a central hub for streaming content. An exclusive 3D teaser of Avatar: Fire and Ash is accessible on the Horizon TV app for Quest headset users.
