On Monday, MediaTek introduced its latest Dimensity 9500, a third-generation 3nm TSMC chipset without efficiency cores. It is positioned to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which Qualcomm plans to announce on Tuesday.
The Dimensity 9500 combines one Arm C1-Ultra core (4.21GHz), three C1-Premium cores (3.5GHz), and four C1-Pro cores (2.7GHz), resulting in a 32% boost in single-core CPU performance and a 55% increase in single-core efficiency to surpass the old benchmarks of the Dimensity 9400. Improvements in multi-core performance were more modest, featuring a 17% gain in performance and a 37% gain in efficiency.
Along with enhanced benchmarks, the Dimensity 9500 introduces four-lane
