Throughout the year, Apple provides a beta software initiative for public users. Recently, it offered early access to iOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and others prior to their official releases.
Currently, participants in that beta initiative have new updates available for installation.
iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, and more are now accessible in public beta.
If you’ve previously participated in the public beta initiative, just verify that your devices are still configured to receive beta updates, and the latest versions will show up in the Software Update section of Settings.

## New functionalities in iPadOS 26.1 and more
Among the new functionalities and modifications in Apple’s latest public betas, Apple Intelligence language expansions are a significant highlight.

– Chinese (traditional)
– Danish
– Dutch

Safari has transferred Downloads to a popup window located in the center of the screen. The Calendar app now features full-width color designs for all events in List view. Apple’s Photos app includes a newly designed playback scrubber for videos. Additionally, the Phone app, which recently became available on iPad with iPadOS 26, has introduced Liquid Glass to the keypad.
