Apple has launched a new software update for iPhone: iOS 26.0.1 is now ready for download. Here’s what’s new.
### iOS 26.0.1 is the initial bug fix update for Apple’s latest software
Two weeks ago, Apple introduced iOS 26 to the public. A number of users may have chosen to install iOS 18.7 instead, in an attempt to steer clear of bugs that commonly arise with significant launches.
Today, Apple has issued the first bug fix update for iOS 26.
iOS 26.0.1 is now available and is suggested for all users.

>- Photos captured under specific lighting situations with iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro models might show unexpected artifacts
>- App icons could show up as blank following the addition of a custom tint
>- VoiceOver may get disabled for some users after upgrading to iOS 26
Even though iOS 26 went through beta testing with developers and the public for several months prior to its release earlier this month, it’s quite typical for Apple to identify new bugs and apply fixes shortly after the public rollout.
In simple terms, a significantly larger user base generates more data regarding issues that need to be addressed.
Moreover, new major iterations of iOS typically launch just as new iPhones are introduced. In this instance, the number of individuals who could test iOS 26 on an iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, or iPhone Air has been exceedingly limited until very recently.
