The ESP32 Marauder 5G – Apex 5 Module, designed by HoneyHoneyTrading, is a hacking and penetration testing tool for the Flipper Zero based on the ESP32-C5. It features dual-band WiFi 6 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), two Sub-GHz radios (868MHz and 433MHz), an NRF24 radio, and GPS. This module is an upgrade from the ESP32 Marauder – Double Barrel 5G, utilizing the ESP32-C5’s dual-band capabilities rather than a dual-chip setup for 5 GHz. It includes a microSD card slot for storage and can save data to the Flipper Zero’s microSD card. The module features five antennas for WiFi, Sub-GHz, nRF24, and GPS, and has LED indicators for Sub-GHz and nRF24 activity. Additional features include a hardware button to toggle between 433 MHz and 868 MHz Sub-GHz operation, a USB-C port, and a side button for power management and firmware flashing. The tool is suitable for wireless security research, RF analysis, protocol testing, and experiments akin to wardriving (with limitations in Batch 1), offering Flipper Zero expansion in a single device.

Specifications include an Espressif Systems ESP32-C5 SoC with a single-core 32-bit RISC-V processor at up to 240 MHz, 384 KB SRAM, 8MB RAM, 320 KB ROM, and 8MB Flash. It features a microSD card slot for storage, dual-band (2.4/5 GHz) 802.11ax WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and 802.15.4 radio. The wireless section includes dual Sub-GHz chipsets, nRF24 for sniffing and attacks, and an integrated GPS module. There are 5 SMA connectors for antennas. Connectivity is provided by a USB-C port, with buttons for frequency switching and firmware flashing, and active frequency LED indicators. The module’s dimensions are TBD, and it comes in a 3D printed enclosure.

The Apex 5 module runs ESP32 Marauder firmware on the ESP32-C5, supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi, and is compatible with the Momentum Firmware (validated on version MNTM-012). Note that Batch 1 does not support “Marauder WarDrive.” User documentation is available but currently in progress. Other Flipper Zero add-ons include the Flipper Blackhat, FlipMods Combo, and Mayhem v2.

The Apex 5 Module will release on February 12, 2026, on Tindie for $99.00 USD, with shipping starting February 15. It includes the Apex 5 Module in a 3D-printed enclosure, five antennas, a quick-start guide, and warranty/technical support information.
