ProducerAI, an AI-driven music creation platform, is being integrated into Google. Under this agreement, Google will incorporate ProducerAI into its Labs division, utilizing its preview version of the Lyria 3 AI model. ProducerAI allows users to collaborate with an AI to create sounds, develop lyrics, remix tracks, and even design new instruments based on user prompts. Originally launched in July 2025 as a follow-up to Riffusion, ProducerAI utilized its proprietary AI to facilitate song production and customization. CEO Seth Forsgren expressed excitement about the potential developments possible with Google’s resources. ProducerAI enables conversational interactions with its AI, akin to engaging with a Gemini model, allowing users to experiment with genres and create music iteratively. Google’s Elias Roman emphasizes the platform’s interactive nature, setting it apart from other AI music tools. Apart from Lyria 3 for music generation, ProducerAI will also use Google’s Nano Banana for album art and Veo for AI-generated music videos. Furthermore, Google’s SynthID watermark will be embedded in ProducerAI’s outputs to identify AI-generated content. Collaborations with artists like The Chainsmokers and Lecrae have shaped the platform’s development. Despite the music industry’s warming to AI tools from providers like ElevenLabs and Udio, some artists and platforms like Bandcamp have resisted AI-generated music. The Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall praises ProducerAI’s focus on the musician’s experience. ProducerAI remains a standalone service, marking another addition to Google’s expanding AI suite. Previously, Google integrated Lyria 3 into the Gemini app, enabling 30-second track generation from multimedia prompts. ProducerAI offers a free version with limited credits, alongside subscription plans ranging from $8 to $64, supporting different levels of content creation. Access ProducerAI across 250 countries via its website on both desktop and mobile platforms.
