Apple’s Touchscreen MacBooks Could Feature a Dynamic Island

The OLED touchscreen MacBook Pros launching this fall will feature Dynamic Island, similar to what’s on iPhones, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. This MacBook Pro’s Dynamic Island will be smaller than the iPhone’s. The new MacBook Pros, available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, maintain a design similar to current models, with updates for a dynamic user interface optimized for touch and point-and-click interactions. When users touch controls, a new menu will appear around their finger, offering more options for touch commands.

Apple, historically opposed to touchscreen Macs, appears to be shifting its approach, with plans for touchscreen Macs set for late 2026, not at the March 4th event. The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro Max are also expected to have a smaller Dynamic Island.
