The power bank is 6mm thick, making it slimmer than most smartphones. Originally set for an announcement at the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, Xiaomi has already revealed details of its new super slim wireless power bank on its Australian website. The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 has a 5,000mAh battery and is only 6mm thick—thinner than the 7.9mm iPhone 17 and the 7.6mm MagSafe battery Apple designed for the iPhone Air.
While a 10,000mAh battery is often preferable for travel because it can fully recharge a dead smartphone with extra power for other devices like earbuds, Xiaomi’s 5,000mAh option (with a rated capacity of 3,000mAh) is appealing for daily use due to its minimal thickness, making it pocket-friendly. The power bank adds only 98 grams of weight.
With a wireless charging rate capped at 15W, phones won’t charge as quickly as with a 25W, Qi2.2-compatible charger, though it can charge a second device via USB-C at rates up to 22.5W. Global pricing isn’t available, but on Xiaomi’s Australian site, it’s priced at $129, currently discounted to $69.50, approximately $91/$49 in US currency.
