In 2027, the Nintendo Switch 2 will feature new main series Pokémon games, marking the series’ 10th installment.
During a livestream commemorating the 30th anniversary of the first Pokémon games, the company introduced “Pokémon Winds and Waves,” an open-world adventure set among islands in a vast ocean.

Three new starter Pokémon were revealed: Browt, a grass-type “bean chick” resembling an Angry Bird; Pombon, a fire-type inspired by a Pomeranian, with hopes it doesn’t become a bipedal form; and Gecqua, a water-type gecko with large pink eyes.
