Apple has started March with various product announcements before a “special Apple experience” event on March 4 in New York City, London, and Shanghai. On March 2, Apple unveiled the iPhone 17E, a new $599 phone with features like MagSafe charging, doubled base storage of 256GB, and a Ceramic Shield 2 display. The same day also saw the launch of a new iPad Air with an M4 chip. On March 3, Apple announced new MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, the MacBook Air with an M5 chip, and an updated Studio Display with a Mini LED-equipped XDR model. Rumors suggest Apple might release a lower-cost MacBook powered by an iPhone chip, possibly called the MacBook Neo. The weeklong launch event also included a potential accidental listing for the “MacBook Neo (Model A3404)” on Apple’s website, suggesting an entry-level MacBook. Apple’s event might also reveal new 5K monitors, two new processors, upgraded MacBook Airs, and the inclusion of MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging for the iPhone 17E, all starting at $599.
