Whoop Introduces New Blood Test Targeting Women’s Health

2 Min Read

Whoop, a fitness wearable maker, is introducing a women’s health panel via its Whoop Labs blood testing service. Additionally, the company is enhancing its app to include insights on hormonal changes during menstrual cycles.

The firm noted the panel features 11 blood biomarkers, offering insights into cycle regulation and hormonal transitions: Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Progesterone, Prolactin, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOAb), Free T4, Free T3, Leptin, Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin), Folate, Magnesium, and Phosphate (as Phosphorus).

Whoop claims these biomarkers will support users in understanding perimenopause, thyroid function, nutrient sufficiency, and bone metabolic resilience, combined with data on activity, sleep, and recovery.

The test will be available next month for purchasing. When Whoop introduced its blood testing service in September 2025, over 350,000 individuals were on the waitlist.

Meanwhile, the new Hormonal Symptom Insights and Predictions feature in the Whoop app models hormonal changes throughout menstrual cycles using historical data. This model forecasts potential dates for the next period, provides insights into cycle and period lengths, irregularities, and details of individual symptom patterns.

The company mentioned that it can correlate insights from this feature with lab results to classify biomarker results into ‘optimal,’ ‘sufficient,’ or ‘out of range’ categories.

Whoop published a new menstrual cycle white paper detailing the company’s modeling for these innovative features.

Fitness wearable firms have been expanding their services focused on women’s health to fill the gap in this underserved market. Earlier, smart ring maker Oura launched an AI model centered on women’s health, along with a chatbot for health data insights.

On Tuesday, Whoop reported a 150% rise in women using its products compared to the previous year, highlighting them as its fastest-growing user segment, with women interacting 30% more with its Whoop AI feature.

In October 2025, Oura’s chief commercial officer, Dorothy Kilroy, informed TechCrunch that the fastest-growing user demographic was women in their twenties.
