V-Bucks Prices Rise as Inflation Hits Fortnite

The Fortnite Battle Pass is experiencing a price change.

Fortnite is increasing the cost of its in-game currency V-Bucks.

On March 10, 2026, Epic Games announced that it would raise prices for V-Bucks due to increased expenses of running Fortnite.

Currently, $8.99 buys 1,000 V-Bucks. Starting March 19, 800 V-Bucks will cost $8.99.

Here’s how prices will change:
– $22.99 will provide 2,400 V-Bucks instead of 2,800
– $36.99 will give 4,500 V-Bucks instead of 5,000
– $89.99 will offer 12,500 V-Bucks instead of 13,500

Although the price remains the same, the number of V-Bucks in each pack is decreasing. Individual purchases will become more expensive, with 50 V-Bucks costing $0.99 instead of $0.50.

These are not the only price changes. The Fortnite Crew monthly subscription will continue to cost $11.99; however, members will receive 800 V-Bucks per month instead of 1,000.

Season pass prices will drop:
– The OG Pass will decrease from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks.
– The Music Pass and LEGO Pass will reduce from 1,400 to 1,200 V-Bucks.
– The Battle Pass will decrease from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks.

However, the V-Bucks awarded with the Battle Pass will reduce. Previously, players earned 1,000 V-Bucks and an additional 500 V-Bucks with Bonus Rewards. Going forward, only 800 V-Bucks can be earned, and Bonus Rewards V-Bucks are being removed.

The Battle Bundle, including a Battle Pass and a 25-level upgrade, will reduce from 2,800 to 2,600 V-Bucks.

Note that in-game items do not affect gameplay, as they are purely cosmetic.

Existing Fortnite gift cards can still be redeemed at their current rate.
