“You were gonna be somebody.” These are the harsh words Shyanne (Michelle Pfieffer) tells her daughter Margo (Elle Fanning) after finding out she’s pregnant and leaving college. However, in the trailer for “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” the main character seems to have a unique future in store — although not what she envisioned.
Created by David E. Kelley of “Big Little Lies” and inspired by Rufi Thorpe’s novel, the series follows Margo as she sets up an alien-themed OnlyFans to support herself, aided by her father, ex-wrestler Jinx (Nick Offerman).
The cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.
“Margo’s Got Money Troubles” debuts April 15 on Apple TV.
