During CES 2026, AMD unveiled its new Ryzen AI Embedded P100 series SoCs, featuring four- and six-core models tailored for Edge AI. Initially comprising six SKUs, higher-core variants were to be announced subsequently.

At Embedded World 2026, AMD has broadened the Ryzen AI Embedded P100 series with six new SKUs in commercial and industrial temperature categories, while the automotive-grade SoCs remain the same.

The new SOCs incorporate 8-12 Zen 5 CPU cores (an upgrade from 4-6 cores), RDNA 3.5 graphics, and an XDNA 2 NPU on a single chip to reach up to 80 TOPS (an upgrade from 50 TOPS) of combined/system AI performance.

AMD asserts up to 39% higher multithreaded CPU performance and 2.1× higher total system TOPS compared to the Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series. They offer unified CPU-GPU memory for low-latency processing in tasks like multi-camera machine vision, Visual SLAM, and robotic perception, with the NPU handling low-power AI inference tasks such as object detection and scene understanding.

Six additional SoCs have been added to the Ryzen AI Embedded P100 family: AMD Ryzen AI P164, P174, P185, P164i, P174i, and P185i, targeting commercial and industrial (i) applications. The AMD Ryzen AI Embedded P100 Series now includes 12 different SKUs.
