Replit, known for its vibe-coding platform, reached a new funding milestone by securing $400 million in a Series D round, valuing the company at $9 billion. The funding was led by Georgian Partners, with participation from G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Databricks Ventures. Founder and CEO Amjad Masad revealed on X that angel investors Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto are also backing the company.
This comes after Replit’s previous $3 billion valuation when it raised $250 million in September, citing $150 million in annualized revenue at the time. Though Replit hasn’t shared updated ARR figures, it told Forbes it aims to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the year’s end.
Despite its recent rapid growth, Masad explained to TechCrunch that it took nine years and a pivot from targeting professional developers to non-programs to establish its current market position.
