Google DeepMind has launched the File Search Tool, a fully managed RAG system integrated into the Gemini API. This tool simplifies the retrieval process, enabling developers to upload documents and text data, generate embeddings automatically, and query a knowledge base efficiently. It’s designed for high retrieval quality, which was explored by the DeepMind team.
