Confidential Information Surfaces Regarding Imminent OnePlus Tablet

These specifics have speculation levels soaring. A report suggests OnePlus is developing a new tablet expected to launch “around” June 2026. Initial rumors indicate it may come with a 12-inch screen and a battery of 12,000mAh or larger, alongside Qualcomm’s budget-friendly Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. The Pad 3, released in June last year, featured Qualcomm’s premium chip, raising questions about where this rumored tablet for 2026 will fit in.

This speculation seems well-timed, as a report indicates OnePlus is preparing a new tablet that may arrive shortly. On X, Yogesh Brar shared purported information regarding the Chinese manufacturer’s forthcoming tablet, which might see a release as early as Q2 2026 (via Android Headlines). Reportedly, the “test model” for this tablet is equipped with a substantial 12,000mAh battery, which Brar hints might be even larger. Moreover, the device is expected to have a 12-inch display, a minor adjustment compared to what users had last year.

Information remains quite limited; however, Brar mentions that OnePlus’s next tablet could incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. It’s still unclear where this tablet might position itself. User discussions on X highlight a point we’ve also observed: this could be more of a mid-range or “budget-focused” device, rather than a flagship.

The driving force here could be this rumored implementation of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a chip Qualcomm introduced specifically for cost-effective devices. Perhaps more details will emerge soon, as Brar suggests this tablet could make its debut “around” June 2026.

Qualcomm’s budget-friendly phone chip isn’t subpar. Upon its announcement late last year, the company presented it as a chip that delivers flagship performance without the flagship cost. Enhanced gaming capabilities, AI features, and targeted performance improvements were touted to elevate affordable devices. Qualcomm utilized TSMC’s 3nm technology with Oryon CPU cores to handle the processing demands.

The OnePlus Pad 3 was released in June 2025, so the timeline Brar mentioned doesn’t seem implausible. It’s really the nature of the device—whether flagship or not—that raises key questions. This tablet boasts the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with a 12,140mAh battery for $699. What’s particularly interesting is that the rumored tablet is somewhat smaller than what OnePlus offered last year. The Pad 3 has a 13.2-inch display, and what’s being leaked today describes a device with a 12-inch screen.

Conversely, there’s the more budget-friendly OnePlus Pad Go with an 11.3-inch display. Perhaps we’re anticipating a shift from OnePlus. Or it could be yet another Go-type tablet (around when its flagship was released last time, which is curious).

Aside from the typical tablet players (Apple, Samsung), OnePlus’s Pad 3 is quite an appealing gadget. The tablet features a 12,140mAh battery with 80W wired charging (already impressive), a solid 13-inch display, and an impressively slim design. While its internal storage could be increased, I’m certain OnePlus would hesitate to make the tablet larger than intended. Regardless, it’s adequate. The price-to-performance ratio, as highlighted in our review, is remarkable. The Pad 3 competed against the usual contenders, and I believe OnePlus can maintain that momentum. I’m just curious about how this rumored upcoming device will stand out.
