WordPress.org is introducing a new tool for creating private websites in your browser, as announced on Wednesday. Visit my.WordPress.net to access the workspace for building a website without signing up, choosing a hosting plan, or selecting a domain.
WordPress indicates that these private sites are not optimized for traffic, discovery, or presentation. The tool is intended for drafts, journaling, research, and testing plugins, themes, and features. All data on my.WordPress.net remains in your browser and is not uploaded elsewhere.
The workspace uses WordPress Playground, the same platform for WordPress demos. It starts with around 100MB of storage and includes plugins like a personal RSS reader, a CRM tool, and an AI assistant.
