The newest trailer for Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” reveals more about the film’s storyline than the initial teaser. The plot centers around Josh O’Connor’s character, a whistleblowing cybersecurity administrator, who plans to disclose that humans are not alone in the universe. As he embarks on this mission, he becomes intertwined in a larger struggle for truth, joined by a Kansas City TV meteorologist (Emily Blunt) who starts emitting alien clicking sounds during a broadcast. Meanwhile, his acquaintance Jane (Eve Hewson) encounters a threatening administrator (Colin Firth) who possesses a machine granting him projection abilities, mind control, and eye color change. The trailer features arresting visuals, including crop circles and a deer leading a girl to a luminous door. Although the plot remains unclear, Spielberg’s track record with films such as “E.T.” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” suggests a promising outcome. “Disclosure Day,” written by “Jurassic Park” screenwriter David Koepp from Spielberg’s story, also stars Colman Domingo and Wyatt Russell. It releases in theaters on June 12.
