What is Connections?
The NYT word game has become a social media sensation. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu for developing the game, now part of the Games section. Connections is available on browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to group four related words.
Each puzzle includes 16 words divided into four categories like book titles or country names. Despite fitting multiple combinations, only one is correct. Correctly guessing a set removes it from play, while mistakes count against four allowed errors.
Players can reorganize the board to easily see connections. Sets are color-coded from yellow (easiest) to purple. Like Wordle, results can be shared on social media.
