AI is a complex topic, with concerns about deepfakes and misinformation. However, Rebecca Gayheart Dane emphasizes the potential for AI to be used positively, advocating for its beneficial applications. ElevenLabs’ “11 Million Voices Initiative” collaborates with organizations like the Scott-Morgan Foundation to locate individuals with voice loss and help restore their voices using AI. The company premiered the “11 Voices” docuseries at SXSW, featuring stories of people impacted by voice loss and assisted by the initiative.

Yvonne Johnson, a participant with ALS, shared her journey and the joy of hearing her restored voice through AI. This initiative highlights the power of AI to improve lives and inspire other companies to harness AI for good.
