## iPhone 17e
Apple introduced the newest iteration in its budget-friendly iPhone series, the iPhone 17e, priced at $599 and available from March 11.
The phone houses the same A19 chip found in the basic iPhone 17. Its base model offers 256 GB of storage, double that of the iPhone 16e’s entry-level storage.
Key improvements from the earlier budget iPhone include MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging up to 15 W. The iPhone 17e retains the 48-megapixel camera from the iPhone 16e.
The iPhone 17e incorporates C1X, Apple’s latest cellular modem, offering up to 2x the speed of the C1 in the iPhone 16e, while using 30% less energy than the modem in the iPhone 16 Pro, enhancing battery life.
Available in black, white, and a new soft pink color.
## iPad Air M4
Apple unveiled the revamped iPad Air, equipped with the M4 chip, which enhances performance by 30% over the M3 iPad Air and 2.3 times over the M1 version. The pricing remains at $599 for the 11-inch model and $799 for the 13-inch model, with a $50 educational discount available.
The iPad Air is optimized for speed, thanks to its upgraded neural engine and increased memory, making it ideal for AI applications.
Featuring an 8-core CPU and a 9-core GPU, it’s suitable for gaming or photo editing. It includes 12GB of unified memory—a 50% boost from its predecessor—and memory bandwidth up to 120GB/s for running AI models more efficiently.
Available in blue, purple, starlight, and space gray, with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
## MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max
With the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, Apple also presented updated MacBook Pro models, emphasizing enhanced capabilities for AI processes. The new Pro laptops handle AI tasks up to 4 times faster compared to the M4 predecessors.
The M5 Pro and M5 Max chips offer significant improvements, performing up to 4 times faster at LLM prompt processing than M4 Pro and M4 Max, and up to 8 times faster at AI image generation compared to M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.
These updates result in the MacBook Pro having up to 2 times faster read/write performance than prior generations, starting at 1TB of storage for the M5 Pro MacBook Pro, and 2TB for the M5 Max version, with a battery lasting up to 24 hours. A 96 W or higher USB-C adapter enables a 50% charge in 30 minutes. The laptops support Thunderbolt 5 and feature a six-speaker sound system.
