BMW’s newest “Neue Klasse” vehicle boasts impressive features. The second model in this lineup has been revealed, and BMW’s initial electric SUV, the BMW iX3, set high standards with its range, entertainment system, and driving performance, attracting over 50,000 pre-orders. The electric sedan, BMW i3, important for its sporty appeal, is an electric counterpart to the BMW 3 series, not a successor to the older compact i3. The i3 50 xDrive, unveiled in one configuration, has dual motors producing 469 hp and BMW’s latest eDrive technology for a smooth drive. Its standout is an EPA range of 440 miles and fast charging that offers 400 km of range in 10 minutes. Design-wise, it diverges from BMW’s current lineup, with a sleeker, sportier look. Production begins this August with deliveries in the fall, though pricing remains unannounced.
