OhSnap’s MCON controller recently launched and is already available at a significant discount.
The MCON is akin to a Swiss army knife for controllers. While it doesn’t include a can opener, it compensates with an impressive range of features. By attaching your MagSafe- or Pixelsnap-ready phone to the top plate, a button press on the top edge reveals a full suite of controls, featuring TMR sticks from GameSir. Initially priced at $150, it is now available through its manufacturer, OhSnap, for $99.99—the same price offered to “super early bird” backers during its 2025 Kickstarter campaign.
Having recently tested the MCON controller, I quickly noted its ergonomic button layout which surpasses that of other phone controllers I’ve used. I am also fond of the MCON’s two fold-out palm grips, which facilitate easier use of the shoulder buttons.
Additionally, the MCON is compatible with non-magnetic devices. OhSnap provides an adhesive-backed ring for attachment to any iPhone or Android phone.
