Ads Coming to Apple Maps This Summer

1 Min Read

Apple is introducing a new service catering to small businesses, covering everything from laptops to local promotions. Soon, businesses will be able to purchase ads in the Apple Maps app, as announced recently. Ads will show at the top of search results and in a “Suggested Places” list, initially available in the US and Canada this summer. The “Suggested Places” feature offers recommendations based on trending spots nearby and recent searches. Apple assures that ad interactions aren’t linked to a user’s Apple Account and data isn’t shared externally. News of these developments follows reports about Apple allowing businesses to bid on specific keywords for search result prominence. Businesses can place ads through Apple’s new Business platform launching on April 14th, replacing earlier initiatives. Accessible for free, this platform enables app management, security, cloud storage, and more, all in one place. Businesses can also manage their brand profiles and payment settings via the platform.
