The best Sony audio product I’ve ever tried is getting its largest discount during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. Deal pricing and availability are subject to change post-publication. Learn more about how deals are selected.
Save $31.99: You can get the new Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds for $298 at Amazon, reduced from $329.99. This deal will save you 10% on the noise-canceling earbuds as of March 25.
As a professional headphones reviewer, I closely watch for audio deals during events like Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, particularly for high-end models. Running from March 25 to 31, this sale tempts with the possibility of holding out for better prices, but Amazon’s current offer is already impressive: a discount on the Sony WF-1000XM6, lowering them to $298.
While the $31.99 cut might seem trivial, consider the context. Released just last month, the updates from XM5 to XM6, while not groundbreaking, improved upon an already solid predecessor. It’s remarkable that such a new product is discounted at all, dropping to below $300 — its lowest price yet.
In my review of the earbuds, I found Sony justifies their premium price by delivering the most well-rounded earbuds available. Their noise cancellation rivals Bose, the typical industry leader; the sound quality is unmatched; and the battery life lasts an impressive eight hours. As a staunch advocate of budget earbuds, I still recognize these as the premier choice.
However, the touch controls require acclimation, given the smaller activation surface. Still, they have fewer flaws than the $299 Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 earbuds, making them the top contender for quality earbuds.
Should these not convince you, there are other discounted noise-canceling and wireless earbuds available in Amazon’s Big Spring Sale.
