The NYT Connections puzzle today isn’t too hard if you’re a registered voter. Connections is among the popular New York Times word games capturing public attention, focusing on finding “common threads between words.” Like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight, getting trickier each day—here are hints and tips to help you out.

What is Connections?
NYT’s latest word game is a social media hit. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu for helping create this game, available on both web browsers and mobile. Players group four words sharing a common thread.
Each puzzle has 16 words divided into four categories. Sets might include book titles, software, country names, etc. Despite many words appearing to belong together, only one correct answer exists. Correctly guessing all four words in a set removes them. A wrong guess counts as a mistake, with up to four mistakes allowed.
Rearrange and shuffle the board for easier connection-spotting. Each group is color-coded: yellow, green, blue, and purple, from easiest to hardest. Like Wordle, results can be shared on social media.
