This autumn, Apple is projected to reveal its inaugural foldable iPhone, the iPhone Fold. As per Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the iPhone Fold is likely to be released after the iPhone 18 Pro. In a recent live Q&A session, Gurman asserted that the challenges associated with manufacturing foldable smartphones, especially the sophisticated display technology, might result in a postponement of the shipping schedule.
Earlier, analysts had speculated that the iPhone Fold could delay its launch until December, differing from previous predictions of a September debut. Gurman mentioned that significant new form factor designs, like the iPhone X, frequently face shipping delays. Although he didn’t specify exact dates, he suggested that the iPhone Fold’s introduction would probably coincide closely with that of the iPhone 18 Pro, possibly extending into October, November, or even December.
Apple is still anticipated to announce the iPhone Fold in September, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, but the actual release may be deferred. This setback could affect consumer buying choices, as prospective buyers consider the timing of the foldable device’s launch in relation to their requirements for a new phone.
