Netflix Prices Increase Once More

Everything is getting more expensive! On March 26, 2026, Netflix announced yet another price hike for its monthly subscriptions. Depending on the plan, prices will increase by $1 to $2. The standard subscription now costs $19.99 per month, up from $17.99, and the ad-supported option increased from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The Premium plan, which offers 4K streaming and more devices, rose from $24.99 to $26.99 per month. New prices apply immediately to new subscribers, while current users will see changes based on their renewal date. The cost to add users outside the household also increased by $1, now $7.99 for ad-supported plans or $9.99 without ads.

Despite already having 325 million subscribers by the end of 2025, Netflix isn’t worried about losing customers over these price increases. This marks the fifth price rise in six years. The company isn’t adding new features with these hikes, but it’s been broadcasting live events. Netflix streams WWE Raw weekly and recently featured the MLB opening game. An upcoming live event is the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano MMA fight in May. Netflix seems to align itself with live sports streamers like ESPN+. ESPN+ plans, which include WWE events, start at $29.99 per month.
