Google Simplifies Importing Another AI’s Memory into Gemini

Gemini introduces new features that allow users to easily transfer their existing chatbot’s data. The “Import Memory” and “Import Chat History” tools enable users to quickly update Gemini with information from their previous AI. Users can transfer memory by using a prompt within Gemini and pasting the result from their old chatbot. For chat history, users can export and upload their past conversations as a .zip file into Gemini. This allows users to continue their interactions seamlessly. Google’s Gemini now refers to “past chats” as “memory,” and these features are available on desktop for both free and paid consumer accounts, excluding business and under-18 users.
