As a tech gadget tester, I possess an array of electronic devices. This includes cutting-edge foldables such as the Find N6, the unique Huawei Mate XT tri-fold, and intriguing accessories like a slim power bank or a USB SSD flash drive. In essence, I enjoy utilizing technology, and I’ve curated my everyday carry items based on my preferences and the items I find most beneficial. While some of these items change frequently — I rotate phones weekly, so my Android device is always different — others remain the same, such as the TeamGroup X2 Max SSD flash drive. With Amazon offering a spring sale, I thought it would be a good opportunity to showcase the items I use daily, especially since they are currently on sale. This is my tech EDC.
The bag: Peak Design Travel Crossbody Sling 3L
For several years, I’ve relied on Peak Design’s bags during my travels, and their Roller Pro might be the best carry-on I’ve ever utilized. The new Travel Crossbody Sling is designed with EDC needs in mind, and the 3-liter capacity perfectly accommodates all your tech necessities. I’ve been using the sling bag for almost three months now, and it’s exceptional. It features the same internal organizer as Peak Design’s Tech Pouch, providing ample space for smaller items like an external SSD, power bank, cables, and more. I’m genuinely amazed by the amount the compact sling can hold, and the quality of the construction is superb — as you would expect. The Travel Crossbody Sling is currently being crowdfunded, allowing you to purchase it for just $79, which is a $21 reduction from its standard price of $100. With Peak Design offering a lifetime warranty on all their products, this may well be the only sling bag you ever require. Additionally, you can also find discounted travel products from Peak Design, with savings of up to $201.
Power bank: Baseus Picogo 10,000mAh Qi 2 MagSafe Power Bank
I typically don’t require a power bank during the day, as modern smartphones like the Find X9 Pro, Vivo X300 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra have large batteries that can last for over a day. However, since I also use the iPhone 17 Pro and currently have the Galaxy S26 Ultra as my main device, I keep a power bank with me just in case. I possess several Qi 2 power banks, but my favorite is this Baseus Picogo model. The 10,000mAh battery lets me charge my phones with relative ease, and the MagSafe capability makes it simple to charge the iPhone 17 Pro and most Android devices (with compatible cases). It supports 15W via Qi 2 and features a USB-C port that reaches up to 27W. Its usual price is $49, but it’s now available for $37.
USB-C cable: Nomad ChargeKey
Nomad’s $29 ChargeKey is undoubtedly the finest travel USB-C cable available. This compact cable can attach to a keyring for convenience and boasts a durable nylon-braided design. The two USB-C connectors are kept together magnetically, and the standout feature is that the cable supports 240W of power and 10Gbps data transfers.
Phones: Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro
I currently use the Galaxy S26 Ultra as my primary phone. While the device is adequate, it doesn’t quite measure up to the Chinese alternatives I’ve tried over the past six months. There’s not much to elaborate on about the phone, and while there are some interesting features, Samsung truly needs to enhance their camera performance. If you’re considering an upgrade, I’d recommend opting for the Find X9 Pro or Vivo X300 Pro if they are available in your region. My secondary device is the iPhone 17 Pro, and over the year, I use a case on it. After testing more than 50 cases, I settled on Nomad’s Modern Leather Case. It has a beautiful finish and added protection on the sides.
Buds: Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2
I’ve evaluated hundreds of earbuds, and Bose’s QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 offers the best mix of sound quality, comfort, and customizable audio. Priced at $299, they are certainly worth the investment for their noise isolation and exceptional sound quality.
Smartwatch: Apple Watch Series 11
I’ve relied on the Apple Watch as my preferred smartwatch for nearly five years, and while the Series 11 doesn’t introduce substantial upgrades, it offers slightly better battery life and increased brightness for outdoor use. This time, I opted for an aftermarket band and chose the Nomad Stratos Band. Priced at $179, it is more
