Jimmy Kimmel frequently faces criticism from the right, often directly from the president himself, and this week followed suit.
In the video, Kimmel showcases a clip of Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty criticizing him for mocking the fact that the new Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, was once a plumber.
“I want to be clear,” Kimmel replies. “I’m not upset that the Head of Homeland Security used to be a plumber. I’m upset that he isn’t still a plumber.”
Kimmel then shows footage of various right-wing TV reporters ridiculing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her former job as a bartender.
“Well, on behalf of bartenders everywhere, we anxiously await your apology,” Kimmel says.
