Delivering Trump directly to your pocket. By Chase DiBenedetto on March 27, 2026.

The Trump administration introduces a new mobile app featuring live news updates, policies, and official media directly from the White House to Americans’ phones. Announced after cryptic posts, the first-of-its-kind app offers live feeds from official White House accounts, a “news” section including press releases and announcements, an affordability tab displaying current prices of common goods, and a media gallery, essentially a pocket version of the White House website. A tweet announcing the app included a “hype reel” with missile launch footage. The app also supports the administration’s mass deportation system by providing an ICE tip line linking to the ICE reporting webpage. Users can sign up for government newsletters and “text” President Trump via the app (linking to the White House contact form). Note: The administration may access personal contact information, including name and number.

Concerns arise over user data retention, with the app’s privacy guidelines under scrutiny. Apple directs app users to the White House’s privacy policy page for data usage policies related to official White House websites, contact forms, and social media pages, listing a contact email under “White House app.” Following a standoff between AI developers and the White House on a potential citizen surveillance program, users express concern over state-sanctioned spyware.
