In an announcement on its Japanese website, Sony has suspended SD card sales due to insufficient memory supply, affecting CFExpress Type A and B, as well as regular SD cards. The company is uncertain about resuming production.
Sony’s decision mirrors Western Digital’s earlier announcement of a hard drive shortage for the year. Additionally, Sony recently raised prices on its PlayStation consoles, possibly for related reasons.
