The NYT Connections puzzle today might not be too challenging if you’re a rocker. Connections is among the top New York Times word games that’s captured the public’s interest. The game centers around identifying “common threads between words.” Like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight and each new set of words poses more challenges. We’ve offered some hints and tips to help you overcome the puzzle. If you prefer to see today’s solution, skip to the end of this article for today’s Connections answer. What is Connections?
The NYT’s newest daily word game has become a social media sensation. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu for aiding in creating the game and adding it to the Games section. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and requires players to group four words with a commonality. Each puzzle features 16 words divided into four categories. These could include book titles, software, country names, etc. Though multiple words might seem related, only one combination is correct. If players correctly identify all four words in a set, those words disappear from the board. Wrong guesses count as mistakes—players have four tries before the game ends.
Players can shuffle the board to better spot connections. Each group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, results can be shared with friends on social media.
