A24 has unveiled a trailer for The Invite, hinting at a dinner party that promises to be far more dramatic than the hosts intended. The film is a remake of the 2020 Spanish comedy The People Upstairs. It centers around Joe (played by Seth Rogen) and Angela (played by Olivia Wilde, who also directs), a couple dealing with a troubled marriage where the former spark has been replaced by disputes and dissatisfaction. Their relationship faces a possible turning point when they invite their upstairs neighbors (played by Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton) to a dinner party. The guests, appearing much more relaxed than their hosts, seem to admire Joe and Angela’s vibe from their apartment window. The Invite is set for a limited theatrical release on June 26.
