Apple is set to debut its first foldable iPhone in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This follows a Nikkei Asia report that suggested potential delays due to engineering challenges. Gurman notes that while the foldable phone’s complexity could limit initial supply, Apple intends to launch it around the same period as the non-foldable models. The timing remains tentative six months ahead of the expected release. Introducing a foldable iPhone marks a significant step for Apple to compete with Samsung and Chinese manufacturers in the foldable phone market. Apple is said to have addressed issues with screen quality, overall durability, and reduced the visibility of the crease.
