On Wednesday, Atlassian unveiled new AI tools and agents aimed at transforming data into visual assets and applications. This includes the open beta release of Remix, a tool that enables enterprises to convert data and information from Atlassian’s Confluence into assets like charts and graphics. Remix suggests the most suitable visual format and generates these assets without the need for additional software.
Additionally, Atlassian introduced three new third-party agents operating within Confluence via model context protocols (MCPs). One of these agents links Confluence users with Lovable, turning product ideas and data into prototypes. Another integrates with Replit, allowing users to transform technical documents into starter apps. The third collaborates with Gamma, an AI presentation builder, to create slides and presentation materials.
Sanchan Saxena, Atlassian’s SVP of teamwork collaboration, noted that Remix and Confluence agents allow a single page to become a starting point for various outputs like leader narratives, prototypes, or customer walkthroughs. This approach eliminates friction and empowers teams to generate new products and experiences.
These tools are a continuation of Atlassian’s initiative to embed AI agents within existing applications rather than launching new platforms. In February, AI agents were added to Jira. This trend reflects an industry-wide shift toward integrating AI into current workflows, as demonstrated by Salesforce and OpenAI’s recent initiatives.
“Technology should fade into the background, allowing people to concentrate on their best work,” Saxena stated in the company’s blog.
